Director dealings: Chaarat chair's firm buys even more, SThree directors purchase shares

Chaarat Gold disclosed another three share purchases by a Bermudan company controlled by its chairman on Monday.

The company said Labro Investments Limited, which is indirectly majority owned by its chair Martin Andersson, bought 500,000 shares at 19p each in one transaction, for £95,001.15.

In the second transaction, Labro bought 150,691 shares for the same price, for £28,617.61, and in the third it purchased 60,267 shares for £11,450.73.

Following the latest purchases, Labro now held 306,484,685 ordinary shares, representing 44.44% of its issued share capital.

It said the combined holding of Labro and Andersson was now 313,454,277 shares, representing 45.45% of its issued share capital.

The Bermuda-domiciled Labro Investments Limited was one of hundreds of thousands of entities identified in the Paradise Papers leak as being linked to controversial law firm Appleby, though Martin Andersson was not identified in those leaks.

Specialist recruiter SThree, meanwhile, reported four share purchases made by a number of directors on Monday, including by its chair.

It said chair James Bilefield had bought 5,000 shares on the London Stock Exchange for 467.66p each, while interim chief executive officer Timo Lehne purchased 5,600 shares for an aggregate price of 479.1p each.

Chief financial officer Andrew Beach picked up 6,431 shares for 466.43p each, and non-executive director Barrie Brien bought 1,594 shares for 462.5p apiece.

The disclosure came on the same day that SThree reported a “record performance” in its final results, with net fees rising 19% at constant currency year-on-year to £355.7m - an all-time high.
