Director dealings: CMC Markets deputy CEO lowers stake

CMC Markets revealed on Monday that deputy chief executive David Fineburg and his spouse Victoria had disposed of 253,857 ordinary shares in the FTSE 250-listed trading platform operator.

Fineburg, who was appointed to the board back in 2014, sold the shares on Thursday at an average price of 390.0p each, for a total value of £990,042.

Just last week, CMC Markets reported a record first-half performance as it benefited from ongoing volatility related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the six months ended 30 September, pre-tax profit surged 369% to £141.1m, with net operating income up 126% to £230.9m.

As of 1650 GMT, CMC shares were up 4.73% at 421.0p.
