Director dealings: GB's outgoing CEO sells £2.2m of shares
GB Group chief executive Richard Law sold £2.2m worth of shares, the security and identity data group revealed in a statement overnight, as he prepares to step down from the board.
Law and his wife, who remain the largest non-institutional shareholders in the company, sold 750,000 shares at a price of 293p apiece but pledged not to sell further shares in the near future.
After the sale, the Laws still hold 1.3m shares, representing almost 1% of the total, plus options over a maximum of 900,978 ordinary shares.
The company's annual shareholder meeting on Tuesday confirmed that trading had been in-line with expectations in the year to date and that the search for a new CEO was is progressing well, such that the board hopes to announced a new appointment around time of half year results.
Chairman David Rasche said the online identity intelligence market continued to grow, driven by the continued move online around the world, increasing cross-border ecommerce, the rise in fraud and tougher compliance regulation for our clients in areas such as age verification, anti-money laundering and the right to work.
