Director dealings: Hammerson, Johnson Matthey executives scoop up shares

Hammerson chief executive officer and executive director Rita-Rose Gagné spent almost £0.1m on shares in the company this week, it said on Thursday.

The FTSE 250 shopping centre owner said Gagné bought 306,748 shares at a price of 32.6p each, spending £99,999.85 in the process.

Specialty chemicals company Johnson Matthey, meanwhile, reported that its chief financial officer Stephen Oxley spent more than £0.17m on shares in the firm.

It said Oxley bought 5,000 shares for 1,968p each in one transaction, and another 3,824 for 1,951p apiece.

The FTSE 250 company said the value of the two transactions was £98,400 and £74,606.24, respectively.

At 1442 GMT, shares in Hammerson were up 2.77% at 33.41p, while those in Johnson Matthey were 1.13% firmer at 2,005.49.
