Director dealings: Hill & Smith director makes share purchase

Hill & Smith revealed on Monday that non-executive director Pete Raby had acquired 1,600 ordinary shares in the FTSE 250-listed construction products manufacturer.

Raby, who is also the chief executive of Morgan Advanced Materials, purchased the shares at an average price of 1,271.0p each, for a total value of £20,336.

Back in June, Hill & Smith reported a "modest recovery" in performance during May as Covid-19 lockdown measures were eased, but stated it was still cautious moving forward due to the heightened level of market uncertainty.

While the group posted a 26% year-on-year decline in revenues for both April and May, Hill & Smith also highlighted that it had actually managed to remain profitable during both months.

As of 1625 BST, Hill & Smith shares were down 0.63% at 1,266.0p.
