Director dealings: John Laing CEO ups stake

John Laing Group revealed on Tuesday that chief executive Ben Loomes had acquired 5,340 ordinary shares in the FTSE 250-listed infrastructure firm.

Loomes, who joined John Laing from 3i back in May, purchased the shares on Monday at an average price of 279.0p each, for a total value of £14,898.60.

Last week, John Laing said that its net asset value had grown in the third quarter driven by the performance of its public-private partnership portfolio.

John Laing posted a 2% rise in net asset value to 314.0p, or 4% when excluding the impact of movements in foreign exchange and its pension balance, while its PPP portfolio value was £1.26bn, representing 78% of its total portfolio value when adjusting for the completion of the first stage of its IEP East divestment and the agreed sale of its Australian wind portfolio.

As of 1635 GMT, JLG shares were up 1.21% at 284.20p.
