Director dealings: M&G revises December purchase upwards, James Latham on buyer and seller lists

M&G was at the top of the list of director buys on Thursday, correcting a purchase made by a non-executive board member that it first disclosed in December.

The FTSE 100 company said Massimo Tosato had purchased 52,800 shares at an average price of 189.37p, spending a total of £99,987.36.

On 2 December, it said Tosato had purchased 30,152 shares for an average 188.65p each.

“All other details remain unchanged,” the board said in its statement.

James Latham, meanwhile, was on both sides of the ledger, disclosing four share incentive plan (SIP) allocations, as well as a sale worth almost £90k.

The AIM-traded firm said chairman Nick Latham was allocated 184 shares under the SIP scheme, while finance director David Dunmow received 163 shares, executive director Piers Latham 162 shares, and managing director Andrew Wright 76 shares.

Following those allocations, Nick Latham now held 3.22% of the company, Dunmow 0.7%, Piers Latham 3.2%, and Wright 0.15%.

At the same time, James Latham said Philippa French had sold 7,464 shares in the company for 1,200p each, netting her £89,568.

It confirmed Philippa French is a “person closely associated” with its non-executive director Fabian French, and as a result, his beneficial shareholding in the company was now 370,052 shares, or 1.85% of its issued capital.
