Microsaic Systems revealed on Friday that chairman Gerard Brandon had acquired 50.0m ordinary shares in the AIM-listed spectrometry.

Brandon, who was nominated to the board of Microsaic today, purchased the shares at at an average price of 1.0p each, for a total value of £499,999.99.

As of 1700 GMT, Microsaic shares were down 5.30% at 0.25p.
