Director dealings: MySquar's Osborn shows confidence in model

MySquar director Neil Osborn has splashed out £15,000 to double his stake in the Myanmar-language social media, entertainment and payments platform as its share price languishes around all-time lows.

Osborn, the former Euromoney publisher who was recruited to the board in June to add his near-30 years of FTSE boardroom experience, bought 666,666 shares at a price of 2.25p apiece.

He now owns 1.24m shares in the AIM-listed company, which floated in London with a £1.7m fundraising at a price of 10p in July last year as it looked to take advantage of the opening up of the Myanmar economy, where four network operators have been reported as planning to invest $18bn in their networks over the next few years.

MySquar, which designs, develops and commercialises Myanmar-focused internet-based mobile apps, reported an annual loss on Friday as revenue of US$795,191 was more than cancelled out with total expenses for the year of US$3,246,778, leaving only loose change in the coffers at June's year end.

Going into the new financial year the company has raised $1m and has a portfolio of applications in mobile gaming, mobile marketplace, VoIP, and a payment application that are all expected to generate revenue.
