Directors dealings: John Laing Group chief picks up batch of shares

John Laing Group´s boss and his partner picked up a handful of stock in the infrastructure investor on Friday.

Olivier Brousse purchased 4,707 shares himself at a price of 213.31p and another 14,768 through his partner Dr.Laura Watkins at 210.0p apiece, for a total of £41,053.3.

On 8 March, the company, which floated on the stockmarket in February of 2015, announced a 15.4% rise in its full-year net asset value from £771.1m to £889.6m, alongside new investment commitments of £180.5m versus an annual average of £135m over the previous four years.

Profits before tax on the other hand decreased 11.4% to £106.6m.

Commenting on the results, Brousse said: "Our business model has proved resilient in a volatile macro-economic environment. We have the people, agility and brand recognition to take advantage of the markets for new infrastructure in the regions we operate in and we are confident in our future prospects."
