Directors dealings: Mariana Resources COO sells ahead of resource estimate

Mariana Resources´s chief operating officer sold just over a third of his stake in the mining outfit just as the company´s shares were hovering near their 52-week high.

Eric Roth sold 2.8m shares at an individual price of 3.5p each, pocketing £98,000 in the process.

On 23 May 2016, the mainly South America-focused precious metals and copper miner published what analysts at ShoreCap labelled as "encouraging drilling results from the exciting 30%-owned Hot Maden Au-Cu project in Turkey," with an updated resource estimate due to be published this same month.

After selling down 37% of his stake Roth was left holding 4.782m shares in the firm.

As of 15:22 BST shares in Mariana were slipping 2% to 3.68p, giving the company a market capitalisation of £44.07m.
