Directors dealings: Regus finance chief picks up shares despite poor technical backdrop

Regus's finance chief, Dominik de Daniel, picked up a large batch of stock despite the shares' daunting technical aspect.

Dominik bought 173,000 shares on 4 November at an individual price of 239.7p for a total amount of £414,684.60, Regus said in a statement.

The provider of temporary meeting and office space reported a 2.6% year-on-year drop in its mature centre revenues during the previous session, which followed a 0.9% fall over the previous three months and a 2.7% rise in the first quarter of 2016.

Weakness was particularly evident in Russia, Brazil and China.

Numis analysts hailed the company's capital discipline, as shown by its decision to slow plans to open new centres.

Nonetheless, they added: "while we believe the shares are starting to offer value, we believe that softening market conditions and the weaker performance of the mature portfolio could still weigh on share price sentiment in the short-term."

Shares in Regus ended the session lower by 5.0% at 233.8p, just above the intra-day low of 231.0p hit on 9 August.
