Directors dealings: TalkTalk non-exec piles in

Talk Talk's Roger Taylor showed conviction in the broadband provider's prospects, making away with a very large number of shares via two purchases.

The non-executive director paid a total of £3.17m for 2.0m shares in two transactions carried out on 28 and 29.

The company's shares had been under intense pressure of late, including over worries regarding the sustainability of the firm's dividend.

On 21 November, analyst Nick Delfas at Redburn slashed his target price on the stock from 150p to 100p and downgraded his recommendation from 'neutral' to 'sell'.

Talk Talk´s strategy of raising prices on a shrinking customer base was a poor proposition, even more so with growth in the overall market flat, Delfas said.
