ITV chairman Archie Norman has seen his stake in the media company rise in lieu of directors fees.

Norman, who has been steering the company since 2009, has an arrangement that means he uses 40% of his annual fee after statutory deductions and associated costs to acquire shares on a quarterly basis.

This currently gives him a total shareholding of just over 1.35m shares in the broadcaster, a stake of over 0.03%.

Other non-executive directors have a similar arrangement, using 25% of their fees to acquire shares.

And Young’s Pension Trustees Limited (YPTL) has cashed in a sizeable amount of shares in Young & Co.’s Brewery.

YPTL, which is the trustee for the brewer’s pension scheme, sold over 15,000 shares for over £183,000.

Torquil Sligo-Young, who is chair of YPTL, as well as directors Stephen Goodyear, Peter Whitehead and Patrick Dardis all had an interest in the shares held.
