Ladbrokes' new chair and director bet on company

Ladbrokes’ new chariman and newest board member are already giving their financial backing to the company.

John Kelly was appointed chairman of the company at the beginning of December, replacing Peter Erskine who announced his intention to step down in May.

He will also become chairman of the proposed merged company Ladbrokes Coral.

To fill the gap, Mark Pain was appointed to the board as a non-executive director at the same time.

Pain stumped up £58,138 to buy in to the company and purchase 50,000 shares in the company, while Kelly paid £34,806 for 30,000 shares.
