LondonMetric directors up stake in company

A number of LondonMetric’s directors have increased their stake in the property company as it continues to adjust its portfolio towards retail logistics and distribution.

Investment director Valentine Beresford purchased the largest stake, buying 31,076 shares for just over £50,000.

Strategy director Andrew Smith also bought 15,000 shares for £24,300.

Meanwhile chief executive Andrew Jones through his wife Rosalind sold 20,000 shares for just over £32,000 but then repurchased them as well as an additional 5,000 shares for £40,500.

Asset director Mark Stirling also did a similar thing, selling 45,000 shares held by him and his wife Karen for nearly £72,500.

He then repurchased them in his name as well as an extra 5,000 shares for £80,850.

The company on Wednesday announced a second interim dividend of 3.75p per share to be paid in early April, which will lift the full year dividend 3.6% on the previous year to 7.25p.

During the weeks since 30 September, LondonMetric completed £75.6m of investment activity, with £92.7m of disposals across the retail and leisure portfolio including £10.2m for an Odeon Multiplex Cinema in Preston and £29.5m for three retail parks at Camborne, Haverhill and Bristol.

It also made £31.2m of distribution acquisitions and a £18.2m distribution disposal.
