Ortac Resources chairman picks up 10m shares

Paragon Group of Companies’ non-executive director Alan Fletcher purchased 22,930 shares at 3.27p each, bringing his total holding to 82,930 shares.

On Wednesday, Paragon said its financial performance in the three months to 31 December was strong, and marked the first quarter in which its banking division turned a profit.

Underlying operating profit was up 13.9% on the corresponding period a year earlier at £35.2m.

Elsewhere, the chairman of Ortac Resources, Anthony Balme, picked up 10m shares in the exploration and development company at 0.025p each.

He now holds 292.6m shares, or a 6.75% stake.
