Universe Group director sells partial stake to fund property acquisition

One of Universe Group’s directors has sold a 3.5m share stake in the company to help fund a property acquisition.

The point of sale, payment and on-line loyalty systems provider revealed on Monday that director Baljit Tank sold the shares for £262,500 late last week.

He still holds a 5.1% stake in the company with 11,804,257 shares.

Another director, Robert Smeeton, picked up a small portion of his shares in the transaction, buying 240,000 shares for £18,000.
