Week ahead: US, euro area inflation in focus
Financial markets' focus over the coming would be on the latest inflation readings on either side of the Atlantic.
In the US, on Friday the Department of Commerce was to release readings for the price deflators for personal consumption expenditures in May.
Earlier during the same session, Eurostat would release a preliminary reading for euro area inflation in June.
And overnight, China's National Bureau of Statistics would publish the results from the official factory sector purchasing managers survey covering the month of June.
Ahead of those key reports, Monday would bring with it the IFO Institute's monthly business confidence gauge for Germany.
On the next day, the European Central Bank was due to release money supply growth figures for May.
In the US, readings for durable goods orders and new home sales were both expected on Tuesday.
The heads of the Bank of England, US Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and Bank of Japan were all due to participate at the ECB central banking forum in Sintra, Portugal.
