Week ahead: US non-farm payrolls, Global PMIs in focus
The market spotlight over the coming week would be firmly on the US jobs report for June.
At 1330 BST on Friday, the Department of Labor was expected to announce that hiring slowed yet again from the breakneck pace of 339,000 observed in May to approximately 200,000.
Further insights into the state of jobs market would be forthcoming the day before, in the form of the latest weekly tally for unemployment claims and Labor's JOLTS survey on job openings, hiring and quits for the month of May.
Worth noting, trading in the first half of the week was likely to be subdued on account of the 4 July holiday.
Financial markets in the US would remain closed in observance of the holdiday and close early on 3 July.
Nonetheless, on Monday investors would be digesting a raft of factory sector survey readings from China, euro area, UK and US.
They would be followed on Wednesday by surveys for activity levels in services in the first three of those regions and in the States on Thursday.
