Camelot and partners raise price of Euromillions in attempt to become "bigger and better"

Players must now choose an extra number, decreasing chances of winning the jackpot

The operators of the European lottery game Euromillions, including UK-based Camelot, have announced major changes to the way it will be played, most notably a price hike from £2 to £2.50.

As well as this, customers will have to choose an extra number that will, in theory, make it more difficult to win top prizes.

The changes will come into effect in September of this year, witht he first draw taking place on Tuesday September 27.


Punters have reacted angrily on social media to the changes, with many vowing to stop playing the Euromillions lottery.
