Airbus "operationally" hit its revised target for jet aircraft deliveries in 2018.

According to Reuters, which cited two persons briefed on the matter, the airplane manufacturer had managed to reach its main industrial target for last year of 800 jet deliveries, albeit including about 18 for the A220 model from its partnership with Canada's Bombardier.

Originally, the Toulouse-based planemaker had targeted 820 deliveries but was stymied by delays at engine-maker Rolls Royce in delivering the Trent 7000 turbines that power the A330 neo, together with other snags

Although the final audit checks had yet to be finalised, deliveries were at that threshhold and management was reportedly optimistic that it had avoided missing its target for deliveries for the first time ever.

As of 1255 GMT, shares of Airbus were trading 3.16% higher to €86.20
