Apple predicted to reap $3 billion benefit from Pokémon Go
Gameplayers can buy "Pokecoins" from the app store, in packs costing up to $99.99

Apple could be set for a revenue windfall of $3bn off the back of the Pokémon Go craze over the next two years, according to analysts.
The augmented reality smartphone game can be downloaded for free but players have the option of purchasing extras known as "pokecoins", which are used to buy additional features.
Apps generally have to pay Apple 30% of what is generated through their iOS software, including subscriptions and other profits.
“We believe Apple keeps 30% of Pokémon Go’s revenue spent on iOS devices, suggesting upside to earnings,” Needham & Co brokerage analyst Laura Martin wrote in a client note on Wednesday.
The reality game released by Nintendo has taken off worldwide where it has been made available, with millions of people scouring the streets in an effort to pick up their favourite fictional character while engaging with other players.
Up to Tuesday’s close, Apple’s shares had gained 5% in market value, or about $25bn, since the launch of the game in the United States on 6 June. Nintendo’s stock has nearly doubled.
