Apple preparing to launch four new 5G iPhones

Apple is gearing up for the launch of a raft of new products, including four new 5G iphone models.

According to Bloomberg, the technology giant has told its suppliers to have at least 75m 5G iphones ready for later in 2020, together with two new Apple Watch models, a new iPad Air and a smaller HomePod.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the newswire said that the firm is projecting sales of the new phones will reach at least 80m units in 2020.

The company was also said to be preparing for the launch of its first over-ear headphones, alongside development of its new Apple TV box, although the latter might not be ready to shop until 2021.

As of 1503 BST, shares of Apple were 1.93% higher to $131.53.
