BMW suspended a press conference at the Frankfurt International Motor Show following the collapse on stage of its chief, Harald Krueger, Bloomberg reported.

As of 09:18 shares of the automaker were rising by 0.47% to €85.74.

The annual event is used by the world’s largest vehicle makers to showcase their newest product launches and concept cars.

In remarks to Bloomberg TV on Tuesday Ian Robertson, the company’s Head of Sales and a former Rolls Royce chief, said the company had always expected growth in China to ‘normalise’.

However, in the longer-term he believes both Brazil and China are great car markets.

In Brazil he expects sales to be slightly lower next year than in 2014.
