Boeing 787 Dreamliner makes emergency landing in Glasgow

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane flying from Chicago to Warsaw was forced into making an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport.

The flight, operated by Polish airline Lot, declared an emergency and landed at Glasgow Airport at 11:35 where it was met by emergency crews, while passengers and crew were told to evacuate the plane.

The aircraft is currently being checked and the reason for the emergency landing is unclear as yet.

A recent documentary by Qatar's Al-Jazeera highlighted the recent drop in engineering standards at the aerospace manufacturer's Charleston, South Carolina, assembly plant.
