London gin recalled by manufacturer for containing too much alcohol

Drinks maker Bacardi has made a splash after a number of bottles of its Bombay Sapphire London dry gin were recalled after they were found to contain almost twice the level of alcohol as advertised.
Regulators investigated the drinks after complaints from customers, with some bottles found to contain 77% alcohol. Bombay Sapphire typically contains 40% alcohol.
The drinks company said the affected batch is only being sold in Canada, and people who return bottles will have their money refunded.
According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, there were no illnesses associated with the overly-strong gin.
Bacardi is also well-known for selling other alcoholic products such as its own branded rum and Grey Goose vodka.
"The over proof product inadvertently entered the bottling line during a short period of time -- [up to] 45 minutes -- when [workers] were switching from one bottling tank to another bottling tank," Bacardi said.
The company has its headquarters in Bermuda, and sells products in over 160 countries.
