Former Samsung executive charged for embezzlement of KRW78m

Samsung Electronics has announced that a former executive has been charged by the Republic of Korea’s district prosecutor for embezzling 78m South Korean Won (KRW) .

The former executive, who has not been named, was charged with the embezzlement of KRW 78,103,990 (£56,300) and breach of fiduciary duty by the Suwon District Public Prosecutors Office.

The company is currently taking the appropriate measures according to the due process of law in accordance with the case.

The share price fell 0.68% to KRX 1,597,000 at 0940 BST on Tuesday.
