Dating platform operator Tinder revealed on Friday that chief executive officer Jim Lanzone was leaving the business in order to take over the top job at Yahoo.
Lanzone's appointment comes just a matter of days after Apollo Global Management closed its $5.0bn acquisition of Yahoo parent company Verizon Media, with Lanzone set to replace Guru Gowrappan, who will be moving over to Apollo as a senior advisor to its private equity business.
Match Group, Tinder's parent company, also said it had tapped Renate Nyborg, who served as Tinder's general manager in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, for chief executive of the dating app.
Nyborg will also be the first woman to hold the job since Tinder's launch in 2012.
As of 1535 BST, Match Group shares were down 2.06% at $154.40 each.
