Decline in German factory prices accelerates in November
Factory prices in the euro area´s largest economy fell more quickly in November than in the previous month, dragged lower by falling energy quotes.
German producer prices dropped 2.5% year-on-year, down from October´s pace of -2.3%, according to the Federal Office for Statistics.
Energy prices led the way with a fall of 7.1%, while those for non-durable consumer and intermediate goods decreased by 0.1% and 2.2%, respectively.
Excluding energy, factory prices retreated by 0.7%.
Prices for capital goods and durable consumer goods, on the other hand, increased by 0.7% and 1.5% year-on-year, respectively.
In terms of month-on-month rates of change, factory prices slipped by 0.2%, after falling by 0.4% in each of the two previous months.
