ECB not looking to taper QE, Draghi says
The European Central Bank was not yet minded to begin tapering its monthly bond purchases, Mario Draghi said.
In remarks prepared for a speech in Washington DC, the ECB´s chief said: We have confirmed our forward guidance on asset purchases and our policy interest rates, indicating that the ECB intends to run asset purchases until the end of March 2017 or beyond, if necessary, and in any case until the Governing Council sees a sustained adjustment in the path of inflation towards levels below, but close to, 2% over the medium-term."
