The European Central Bank has raised the amount of funding it makes available to Greek banks again.

Bloomberg TV reports the so-called cap on the monies made available to the country´s lenders under its Emergency Liquidity Assistance facility has been raised, although no exact figure has yet been forthcoming.

The move may be taken as an indication that the pace of deposit withdrawals from the country´s banks is accelerating. Absent a deal with its creditors that trend may yet force Athens to impose capital controls in the coming weeks or days, it is feared.
