Eurogroup meeting has been suspended - reports

According to various reports Thursday's Eurogroup meeting was suspended pending "better" proposals from Greece.

One report cited an EU official whilst another one quoted German chancellor Angela Merkel.

Euro area finance ministers were expected to convene once again once the proposals had been submitted.

As of 14:53 the euro/dollar was edging higher by 0.03% to 1.1201 and the yield on the benchmark 10-year Greek government bond higher by 36 basis points to 10.96%.

In equity markets, the benchmark Stoxx Europe 600 index was down 0.6%, while Greece's ASE Composite was 0.4% weaker.
