The Eurozone trade surplus shrank in February as imports rose more rapidly than exports, Eurostat revealed on Friday.

The trade surplus fell to €19bn in February from €20bn the same month a year ago, according to a preliminary estimate.

The seasonally adjusted trade surplus in the Eurozone fell to €20.2B in February from a revised €22.8B in January, below the consensus, €21.5vn.

A 2.6% month-to-month jump in imports was offset by a 0.7% rise in exports.
