Eurozone unemployment rate steady in September

The Eurozone unemployment rate was steady in September, according to figures released by Eurostat on Wednesday.
The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate held steady compared with August at 11%, but was down from 11.5% in August last year. The figure for August was revised up a touch from 10.9%.
Analysts had been expecting a rate of 10.9% for September.
Compared with July, the number of people unemployed in the euro currency area fell by 1,000, Eurostat said. Across, the 28-member EU bloc the decreased was 33,000.
