Eurozone unemployment rate unchanged in April, as expected

The unemployment rate in the Eurozone was 10.2% in April, unchanged from March and in line with economists' expectations, according to data from Eurostat.
The rate was down from 11% in April of last year and marks the lowest recorded in the euro bloc since August 2011.
In the European Union, unemployment came in at 8.7% in April, down from 8.8% the month before and from 9.6% in April 2015.
This is the lowest rate recorded in the EU28 since April 2009.
The lowest unemployment rates were recorded in the Czech Republic, Germany and Malta , while the highest rates were observed in Greece and Spain.
