French business leaders expected the country´s output to continue growing in November and construction activity to be a bit more dynamic, according to the results of a survey carried out by Banque de France, the country´s central bank.

The index tracking manufacturing confidence in the Eurozone´s second largest economy jumped to the 7-point mark in October after a reading of 2 in September, but was expected to slip to the 6-point mark in November.

Improvement was seen last month in deliveries, total orders, staff and the prices of commodities, the survey´s different sub-indices revealed.

In parallel, another gauge for the country´s services index was seen dipping to a level of 10 points from the 12 recorded in September and October.

Another index, for confidence in construction, stayed at the 1-point level in October but was seen improving to 4 this month.

The MIBA index of monthly business activity was pointing to a quarterly rate of expansion of 0.4% in the country´s gross domestic product, BdF said.
