French business confidence shrinks

French business confidence crawled back into its shell in February, according to data from the country's Insee statistical office.

The business confidence index fell back to 100 from 102 the month before, below expectations that it would remain flat in the month.

A brighter spot was that French manufacturing confidence remained stable at 103, slightly higher than the estimated one-point fall to 102.
