French business confidence slips in October
French business confidence slipped in October amid a dip in a gauge for firms´ past activity levels.
INSEE´s business activity gauge dipped from a reading of 102 in September to 101 for October.
Consensus had forecast a reading of 102.
Firms´ production expectations were unchanged and the new orders-to-inventory ratio slipped only marginally, Claus Vistesen, chief Eurozone economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics said in a research report sent to clients.
"A disappointing dip, but the key details of the survey were virtually unchanged."
