French Treasury planning sale of 20 ad 50-year debt

News that French authorities were planning to sell 20 and 50-year debt via a syndicate of banks weighed on the prices of its sovereign bonds on Tuesday.

The Paris-based Treasury announced the plans to sell bonds maturing on May 2036 and May 2066, subject to market conditions, on its website.

As of 12:20 BST 10-year French sovereign bond yields were higher by three basis points at 0.46% and those on its 3.25% May 2045 debt up by six basis points to 1.41%.
