Large Japanese manufacturers´ confidence unchanged in September, BoJ Tankan shows

Large Japanese manufacturers kept the faith in September, according to the results of a widely-followed survey carried out by the country´s central bank.

The Bank of Japan´s Tankan index of confidence among the archipelago´s largest firms in that sector was unchanged from June's reading of +6.0, although economists had been expecting a slightly stronger print of +7.0.

Companies´ own forecasts pointed to another unchanged reading of 6.0 in three months´ time.
