Republican Lindsey Graham quits presidential race

Republican presidential candidate Lindsey Graham has dropped out of the race for his party’s nomination.

The 60-year-old South Carolina senator announced that he was suspending his campaign for president in a video posted on YouTube after failing to make an impact in the polls.

There are now 12 main Republicans left in the race with six weeks to go before the contest begins for each party’s nomination in Iowa.
