Spanish economy slowed slightly in the third quarter

The Spanish economy slowed down slightly in the third quarter of the year.

The country´s gross domestic product expanded at a 0.8% quarter-on-quarter clip over the three months to September, after a rise of 1% in the previous quarter, according to the country´s statistics office, INE.

Economists had pencilled an increase of 1%.

In year-over-year terms the economy accelerated to a 3.4% pace from the 3.1% seen over the previous three months.
