US home prices rose slightly less than forecast in August

The S&P Case –Shiller 20-city home price index slipped by 0.2% month-on-month in August.
In comparison with a year ago the HPI advanced at a 5.6% clip.
Economists had penciled in a rise of 0.2% month-on-month and 5.7% year-on-year.
