Donald Trump's US presidential campaign is coming under further pressure as various allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct have been made against him by several women, less than a month before voters go to the polls.

A video emerged last week in which the Republican nominee bragged to Billy Bush that he could touch women without consent because he was famous, and now several women have told mainstream US media of their experiences.

A New York Times report cited two women who allege that Trump touched or kissed them without consent, to which the New York billionaire's campaign has responded with a threat of legal action to the publication.

People magazine has also published an allegation from one of its reporters which accuses Trump of forcibly kissing her.

In addition, a further video has surfaced of Trump appearing to make inappropriate remarks towards a 10-year-old girl. In the 1992 Entertainment Tonight Christmas special, the Republican candidate says that he was "going to be dating her in 10 years. Can you believe it?"

A spate of high-profile Republicans have withdrawn their support for Trump this week in a potentially destructive period in his presidential campaign.

Calls have been made for Trump to step down as a nominee for the party due to the various recordings and accusations.

On Sunday night's televised debate with Democrat rival Hillary Clinton, Trump briefly apologised for the remarks made in the Access Hollywood recording, but also dismissed them as "locker room talk".

The US presidential election will take place on 8 November, and will be preceded by a third and final televised debate next Wednesday 19 October.
