Trump fires national security adviser John Bolton
The US President fired his national security adviser approximately 90 minutes before he had been scheduled to participate in a press conference next to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.
In a post on his social media account, Donald Trump said he had informed Bolton that his services were no longer required the night before and received his resignation on Tuesday morning.
Trump said he would announce his choice of a new national security adviser during the following week.
