US President Donald Trump lashed out at congressional Democrats for wasting Americans' time with "BULL****" over the new impeachment inquiry filed against him.

Talking to reporters on Wednesday alongside the Finnish President, his frustration with the inquiry boiled over. He accused Democratic leaders of dishonesty and even treason.

During the joint news conference with President Sauli Niinistö, Trump called Biden and his son, Hunter, "stone-cold corrupt".

Trump said that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, or "shifty Schiff as he calls him, was "a lowlife" and "should resign from office in disgrace".

He added: "Frankly, they should look at him for treason."

He also attacked the whistleblower, saying: "This country has to find out who this person was, because that person's a spy, in my opinion”.

Earlier, Trump had also lambasted US House of Representatives Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and Schiff on Twitter, accusing Democrats of focusing on "BULLSHIT".

The inquiry was filed following a phone call between Trump and the Ukranian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, that was leaked and during which Trump asked him to investigate Democratic candidate Joe Biden’s son and his business interests in Ukraine.

In response, four Congressional committees were now demanding documents relating to the administration's dealings with Kiev.
