US presidential candidate Donald Trump has begun to broadcast a daily Facebook Live program with two weeks left until voters go to the polls to decide whether he or Hillary Clinton will be the next resident of the White House.

Speculation has been rife that the New York businessman has plans to set up a television channel if he were to lose the election on November 8.

"Trump Tower Live" was announced in an email to Trump supporters yesterday and on Monday night it featured campaign advisers Boris Epshteyn and Cliff Sims, conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, and Republican communications director Sean Spicer.

The GOP candidate has continued his attack on the mainstream media during campaigning in the key swing state of Florida, accusing them of presenting inaccurate polls.

"What they do is they show these phony polls where they look at Democrats, and it's heavily weighted with Democrats. And then they'll put on a poll where we're not winning, and everybody says, 'oh, they're not winning,'" Trump claimed.

The majority of national polls show Democrat Hillary Clinton with a commanding lead, and a late turnaround from Trump is both unexpected and unlikely.

Reports suggest that Trump's son-in-law Jared Krushner has contacted television executives in recent months about the possibility of launching "Trump TV" in the aftermath of the election.
