Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would step down if it were proven that his country has been purchasing oil from Daesh.

He was speaking at a university in the Qatari capital of Doha, Reuters reported.

Earlier in the day, Russian authorities said they had proof that Erdogan and his family, personally, were befitting from the illegal trade in oil from Syria and Iraq with Daesh.
