US durable goods largely unchanged in October

Orders for US durable goods declined less than expected last month, figures released on Thursday showed.

According to the Commerce Department, orders for long-lasting goods rose 2.9% in October compared with 3% increase registered in the previous month.

Excluding transportation, however, orders were unchanged.
